Create your own subject glossary in AppWriter Windows

Make a list of words for a bike ride, and use a green suggestion in a finished sentence.

    Make your own subject-word list so AppWriter can suggest words for your topic. Here we make a list for a bike trip and use the word refleksvest in the sentence. AppWriter is open, and we are signed in.

    Open AppWriter's menu with the three lines.

    Choose Fagordlister. Your account opens in the browser.

    Scroll down to Egne fagordlister.

    Click Opret ny.

    Click in the name field, and type Min cykeltur.

    Open the Sprog field.

    Choose Danish.

    Click Næste.

    Click in the Indsæt tekst field.

    Type cykelhjelm, refleksvest, and bagagebærer with spaces between the words.

    Click Næste. AppWriter goes through the words.

    Here two words have been filtered out because they are already in the standard dictionary. Click Behold ord so all three are included in your list.

    Click Save.

    Scroll down a little. Min cykeltur is now on the list, and the checkmark shows that it is turned on.

    Go back to Notesblok via the taskbar.

    Choose the document with the sentence.

    Open AppWriter's menu.

    Click Synkroniser profilindstillinger. Wait until the list is downloaded.

    Close the menu again.

    Open the menu by the word suggestions.

    Check the box for Aktiver fagordlister. Aktiver ordforslag must also be turned on.

    Close the menu.

    Click after I’m taking my in the document.

    Type the beginning of refleksvest. Here I type refle. The word appears in the green column.

    Find refleksvest on the fourth line in the green column. Click the small play button, and listen.

    Click the word itself to insert it.

    Type a space and with, and end with a period.

    Select the whole sentence with Control and A.

    Press F8, and check the sentence by listening.

  4. 5:27 Turn the list off again

    When you want to turn the list off again, go back to the browser.

    Clear the check mark next to Min cykeltur. The list stays there so you can turn it on again later.

    Open AppWriter's menu again.

    Click Synkroniser profilindstillinger, so the change is also included in Windows.

    Close the menu.

    Go back to Notesblok.

    Choose the document. The finished sentence is still there.

    Try with three words from your own topic. Make the list, sync it, and use a green suggestion in a sentence.

    Your list is saved and synchronized. You have used a green suggestion and know how to turn the list off again.

Click Synkroniser profilindstillinger, so the change is also included in Windows. Close the menu. Go back to Notesblok. Choose the document. The completed sentence is still there. Try with three words from your own topic. Make the list, synchronize it, and use a green suggestion in a sentence.

Why do some of my words disappear when I create it?

AppWriter can filter out words that are already in the standard word list. The video shows Behold ord, so all three words are included. After changes on the account page, you must sync profile settings in Windows.
