Written steps
Step 1
Start with your own finished practice page. This example uses a 1920 by 1080 sign with the heading Welcome. Choose File > Page view > Scroll if your editor shows pages differently.
Step 2
Click Duplicate page above the canvas. Scroll to page 2 and check the number before editing.
Step 3
Double-click the heading, select all its text with Control+A, and type Coffee break. On a Mac, use Command+A. Press Escape to finish. Keep the heading clear of the photograph.
Step 4
Set Page title above the canvas to Coffee break and press Enter. This name is separate from the heading inside the design.
Step 5
Duplicate page 2 and scroll to page 3. Change both its heading and its Page title to Plant together.
Step 6
Click Move up above page 3. Open Grid view and wait for the thumbnails. Check Welcome, Plant together, Coffee break from left to right.
Step 7
Double-click a thumbnail to edit that page again. When exporting, also check the selected pages and the order in the downloaded file.

When several pages should look alike, copy a finished design. Here we are making three signs for the garden day: Welcome, Plant together, and Coffee break. We will change the text in the copies and check the page order. The colors, photograph, and layout are reused. We start with one finished page in Scroll view. Click Duplicate page above the page. Canva makes a copy below it. Scroll down to the new page. Check the page number so you know you are editing the copy. The original heading should still say Welcome. Double-click the heading on page two. Press Control and A to select all the text. Type Coffee break. Press Escape to finish editing. The color and font have been preserved. Check that the words fit without covering the photograph. Longer text may need shorter wording or a smaller font size. Also give the page a name above the canvas. Click Page title. Type Coffee break and press Enter. The page title helps you find the page in an overview. It is separate from the heading inside the design. Both should match what the page contains. Now make the third sign from the second page. Click Duplicate page above Coffee break. Scroll down to the new copy on page three. It still has the old heading and page title. Copying saves setup work, but you must update the content yourself. Double-click the heading on page three. Press Control and A. Type Plant together. Press Escape. Click Page title above the page. Type Plant together there too and press Enter. Check that the new heading fits on one line and leaves space above the photograph. We want to plant before taking a coffee break, so change the order. Click Move up above page three. The whole page moves up one place. Click Grid view at the bottom right. Wait for the thumbnails to finish loading. Read the order from the left: Welcome, Plant together, Coffee break. The three pages now have a consistent design and the intended order. Double-click a thumbnail when you want to edit it again. When downloading, check the selected pages and their order in the actual file. Try making three signs of your own, and replace all the old text in each copy.
