Written steps
Step 1
Open the three-slide presentation from the previous lesson and select page 1. Click Notes at the bottom left. Write a few reminders in the Notes field: welcome everyone, explain who can take part, and say the date, time and place.
Step 2
Select page 2 in the thumbnails. Its Notes field is separate. Add reminders to explain the activities and how people can choose a task.
Step 3
Select page 3. Add reminders to repeat the meeting details, mention gloves and water, and invite people to join. Check that the spoken details agree with the slide.
Step 4
Close the notes panel, return to page 1 and click Present. Check that the slide is readable in full screen. The audience slide view does not display the Notes panel.
Step 5
Use the right arrow at the bottom to advance and the left arrow to go back. Rehearse the order and leave time for people to read. The controls may fade when you stop moving the pointer.
Step 6
Choose Exit full screen, then reopen Notes. Check the reminders for the selected slide and revise them as needed.
Step 7
The arrow beside Present also offers Presenter view. That mode is intended for notes and upcoming slides in a separate presenter window. This recording demonstrates the editor notes and audience full-screen view; the separate presenter window was not captured. Rehearse your actual screen-sharing or projector arrangement and confirm that the audience sees the intended window.
What you need
Open the completed practice presentation. The recording shows the English interface.

Speaker notes help you explain more than the words on a slide. We will use our three-slide community garden presentation. Add short reminders to each page, rehearse in full screen, and return to the editor. The notes are separate from the text your audience sees on the slide. Click Notes at the bottom left. Click in the Notes field. Write: Welcome everyone. Explain that anyone can take part. Say the date, time and place clearly. These reminders belong to page one. They do not replace any text on the slide. Use short prompts that help you speak naturally. Click page two in the thumbnails. The Notes field changes with the selected page. Write: Explain each activity. People can choose a task and work together. Keep this note focused on the activity plan. You can explain the details aloud instead of adding more text to the slide. Click page three in the thumbnails. Write: Repeat the time and place. Remind people to bring gloves and water. End with an invitation to join. Each slide now has its own speaking notes. Check important details against the slide so you do not give conflicting information. Close the notes panel. Click page one in the thumbnails. Click Present at the top. Wait for full screen. Check that the title, date and supporting text are readable. This is the audience slide view. If you share your screen in a meeting, check which window the audience can see. Click the right arrow at the bottom to show the activity slide. Click the right arrow again to show the final slide. Click the left arrow to go back one slide. Practise moving through the presentation without rushing. Pause long enough for your audience to read each slide. Click Exit full screen to return to editing. Click Notes to reopen the notes panel. Check that the activity slide still has its own reminders. Rehearse your short talk from beginning to end. Say more than the slide, keep a clear pace, and finish by telling people what they can do next.
