Organize your Canva designs in folders
Create a personal practice folder, move one of your own designs into it, and reopen the design to verify its pages.

Written steps
Step 1
In Projects, click Add new > New folder. Give the folder a recognizable name, for example Community garden course 20261031.
Step 2
Leave Add people or groups empty for this personal practice folder. Check the existing People with access list and your Owner role before clicking Create folder. Creating a folder and sharing it are separate decisions.
Step 3
Search for Community garden signs - English course. Canva may return related designs, so inspect the complete title, thumbnail and page count.
Step 4
Open More actions on that design and choose Move. Select Community garden course 20261031, check the destination, and click Move. This moves the existing design rather than making a copy.
Step 5
Return to Projects and open the folder. Check that the correct design is inside, then open it. If Canva opens another browser tab, use that editor tab.
Step 6
Open Grid view and confirm that Welcome, Plant together and Coffee break remain in that order. Use folders and descriptive names consistently for your own exercises.

A folder makes it easier to find designs that belong to the same task. Here we collect our own community garden exercises. We will create a folder, move one design, and open it again. We are only working with our course material. Start in Projects. Click Add new at the top right. Wait for the menu. Choose New folder. Canva opens a dialog with a name and access controls. Give folders recognizable names so you can distinguish different tasks and dates. Click Name and type Community garden course, followed by the date. We use the date as part of the folder name. Leave Add people or groups empty. Check that only your own account appears as Owner. Click Create folder. Wait for confirmation that the folder has been created. Click the search field for designs, folders and uploads. Type Community garden signs, English course, and press Enter. Wait for the results. Canva may also show related designs. Check the complete title and thumbnail before choosing. We want the three-page design from the previous lesson. Open More actions on the correct design. Wait for its menu. Choose Move. Wait for the folder list. Click the new Community garden course folder. Check the selected folder name at the top of the dialog. Click Move to confirm. Wait for the confirmation. The design is now in that folder. Moving it does not create another copy. Click Projects in the left navigation. Open the Community garden course folder. Check that Community garden signs, English course, is inside it. Click the design to open it. Canva may open the editor in a new browser tab. The design opens again with all three signs. Open Grid view to check the page order. Welcome, Plant together, and Coffee break are still present. Use clear names for both folders and designs. Only organize material you have permission to move. Now collect your own exercises in a folder and reopen one of them.
