Written steps
  1. 0:00 Select and look up the word

What does the word in your message mean? Have IntoWords open with a Danish profile and a text you want to understand. Here it says “Jeg kommer til arrangementet i morgen”.

Click in the text, and select only the word you want to look up. We select “arrangementet”.

Press Dictionary in IntoWords. The selected word is moved to the search field, and the lookup opens.

  2. 0:29 Find the meaning that fits

Check that Den Danske Ordbog is selected at the top. The dictionary shows the base form arrangement, even though the message says “arrangementet”.

See under Meaning. The first explanation is about a planned activity or event. That fits the message about coming tomorrow. Another explanation is about how something is arranged. That does not fit here.

  3. 0:55 Understand your original message

Close the dictionary with the cross, and read your original sentence again.

Now we know that the person is coming to a planned event tomorrow. The entry has helped us understand the word. The message itself is unchanged.

  4. 1:12 Try it yourself

Try with a difficult word from your own text. Read the explanations, and choose the meaning that fits the sentence. If no entry appears, you can check the spelling in the search field and search with the magnifying glass.

You have found an explanation that fits the word in the original sentence.
