Written steps
  1. 0:00 Use an asterisk in the word

Can you remember the beginning and the end of a word, but not all the letters in the middle? Use an asterisk as a wildcard in word suggestions. Have IntoWords open with a Danish profile and a text you want to write in.

Click Word suggestions with the list on the toolbar. The suggestions appear in the small window.

Click after the beginning of the message. Bicycle should go here. Type c first.

Write an asterisk. It stands for the part of the word you are unsure about.

Then write the ending, e l. Now it says c, asterisk, e l.

  2. 0:43 Select the word and finish the message

The list suggests cykel. Choose the word when it fits what you want to write. The whole pattern is replaced with cykel.

Click back after the word and finish the message. Here, we type with and a full stop.

Now it says “Jeg tager min cykel med”. The star is gone, and the selected word is in the text.

  3. 1:10 Try it yourself

Try it yourself with a word where you know some of the letters. If the list is too broad, add more letters. Also check that the Danish profile is selected.

The pattern “c*el” has been replaced with “cykel”, and your message is finished.
